New Students

Carolina Voyager Charter School is a free public charter school admitting students from Kindergarten to 7th grade during the 2019 – 2020 academic year and space may be limited to grade level capacities.

If your child has been accepted, please review the below important final enrollment steps.

Enrollment Acceptance

If your student is officially accepted, please provide the following documentation to Carolina Voyager Charter School office no later than June 28th.

The following documents are required to complete the enrollment process:

1.) Registration Form: A registration form must be completing for enrollment.  Please contact the school for the link to this form.

2.)  Proof of Residency: Two proofs of residency of Charleston County showing the correct residential address. Note that Carolina Voyager requires one proof of residency from both Category A and Category B below:

  • Category A:  One Document Required
    • If renting: Copy of signed and dated lease agreement
    • If property is owned: copy of most recent property tax bill (if newly purchased, a Mortgage Statement can be accepted)
  • Category B: One Document Required
    • Copy of current utility bill that indicates the same address as the documents from Category A. This can include phone (NOT cell phone), cable, water or electric bills.  A car registration, pay stub that lists address, or government correspondence that reflects name and address of parent/guardian can also fulfill this requirement.
      • Note that a we can not accept a driver’s license or an envelope for this category.

3.) Affidavit of Student’s Domicile

  • Print or pick up a copy of the Residency Affadavit from school
  • Must include student’s name, parent/guardian’s full name, and the address
  • Must be signed in the presence of a notary and include the notary’s signature
  • Can NOT be notarized by the parent/guardian

4.)  Copy of Birth Certificate.

5.) Copy of Immunization records from DHEC or pediatrician.

  • Rising Kindergartener’s are required to have boosters for Measles (MMR) and Chicken Pax (Varicella) between the ages of 4 and 6.
