End of the Third Marking Period
What?  How did that happen?  When we return from Spring Break, we start the fourth quarter of this school year and will have only 46 school days until summer vacation.  As the weather finally turns warmer and kids start counting down the days (okay, teachers too), please help us by ensuring your kids are in school, every day, prepared to do their best.  As you review your child’s report card next month, remember, it’s never too late to reach out for a parent conference with your child’s teacher.  Thank you for your continued support of your children and our school mission.

Friends of Voyager Annual Spring Fundraiser
It’s one of our favorite times of the year…the highly anticipated Carolina Voyager Charter School Spring Fundraiser!

Mark your calendars and get your babysitters set for 5pm-8pm on Saturday, May 11th.  We’re changing things up a bit this year and are excited to enjoy a more laid back atmosphere featuring music by DJ Scott Sain (lead singer of PlaneJane), a corn hole tournament, as well as our annual Silent Auction and Raffle. Tickets to the event may be purchased on-line, but all bids and raffle submissions will be done on-site.  BUT FEAR NOT, if you are unable to attend, you can identify a proxy to bid on your behalf and secure your winnings!  We will also be posting auction and raffle items online for advanced viewing.

PTO News

Thank you to all who attended this week’s Hot Dog Picnic.  It was a great success.  We had over 150 family members in attendance. A special shout out goes to the volunteer grill masters, servers, and cashiers.

The next PTO meeting will be April 2nd at 5:30 p.m. in room 140.  We will be taking nominations for all PTO positions for the 2019-2020 school year.  Everyone is invited to attend PTO meetings.  You may also submit nominations to

School Uniforms
In light of some recent observations, I feel the need to send out a reminder about school uniforms.  In the elementary grades, bottoms must be navy and tops must be red, white or blue collared shirts or polo shirts.  Middle schoolers are permitted to wear khaki bottoms.   Jeans or jean like leggings or pants are not permitted as part of our school uniform.  We ask for everyone’s cooperation with our uniform codes.  We will be reaching out should we observe a student not in our school uniform.

Sorry for the late newsletter this week.  Kerri and I are down in Ponte Vedra, Florida this weekend to attend the Players Golf Championship.  We went last year and had so much fun we decided to return.  Plus, I was fortunate enough to play the course this winter so I can brag on the pros on several holes where I would have outscored them!  You can look for us on TV.  Kerri and I will be in the front row right behind the ropes on the 17th hole.

Have a great weekend and we’ll see you in the car loop not so bright, but definitely early, on Monday.
